NTWA: Shane McMahon vs Kurt Angle KOTR

Shane vs. Kurt. I was very surprised that this match was as good as it was. I really didn't think that Shane had any skill to put on a great match, but I was DEAD wrong. This match has been talked about for a long time and for good reason. It never seemed like anyone was in control of the match for very long. It was a lot of back and forth...until Shane got tossed through the glass two times. But this is one of my favorite matches of all time. It is simply awesome.
Unfortunately I'm not able to find the entire match on the internet. I'm sure it's out there somewhere, but this highlight reel is the best that I found. Enjoy.

NTWA: Sweet Chin music to Rey Mysterio in mid air

I don't know where I was when this match was aired on TV, because I've never seen it before. I was just searching youtube for random wrestling clips and I stumbled onto this piece of awesome footage. I guess WWE or Shawn Micheals thought it was pretty cool, so they or he decided to do it again. First it was Shelton Benjerman, then Shane McMahon, and now Rey Mysterio.

Wrestling Obscurity: Vito

I'm not sure that many people remember Vito in the WWE or in ECW. But he was a pretty good wrestler especially in ECW.  He was in WWE for about 2 years. I don't remember much about his run in the WWE...except for one thing. He wore a dress. Yes a dress. He was a straight man, who liked to wear dresses to the ring and wrestle in them. That seemed ridiculous to me. I mean who would wrestle in a dress? The divas don't even do that...at least not most of the time. It was odd, but that was probably the point and for a little while it gave him an angle to work with, which is more than some current wrestlers have. Yes I'm looking at you 3MB. Regardless, Vito's dress wearing days have been forgotten and faded into obscurity.

NTWA: Low Ki vs Amazing Red

I'm not really sure when this match took place. I think it happened in 2002 or 2003. Either way this is one of the those dream matches that you don't think you'll see EVER. The back and forth between these two is crazy. Both are probably known for high flying, but they can grapple as well. If you are a fan of either Low Ki(Kaval), Amazing Red, or both you have got to see this match. It is amazingly awesome!!

NTWA: Trouble in paradise to the miz

The title is "Now that was awesome", but it should be changed to "Damn, that looks like it hurt." Of course if you have seen WWE in the last week. You probably have seen Miz get kicked in the head by Kofi Kingston...twice. But the first time on RAW was...um...painful to watch. Thankfully the Miz didn't get a concussion, but he did get a cut above his eye.

The worst stables in wrestling history

There have been many stables/factions in wrestling. Some were really good and launched the careers of certain wrestlers i.e. The Rock, Triple H etc. But of coures with the good comes the bad. Now I have my own biases towards stable. I feel that a stable shouldn't be too big or too small. The number should be between 4-6 members in a stable. They should be fairly domininant, by that I mean have more than 1 title. They should make an impact, be entertaining, have good feuds and last for a good amount of time (>6months). But there have been some that fell flat or just lasted WAY too long to be entertaining or intresting. Here is a list of the worst stables in wrestling history.

1. X-factor(WWE)
2. The Mexicools(WWE)
3. Straight Edge Society(WWE)
4. The Immortals(TNA)
5. Aces & 8s (TNA)
6. The New Breed(WWECW)
7. World Ellite (TNA)
8. The Corre (WWE)
9. 3MB(WWE)
10. Disciples of Apocalypse(DOA) (WWE)
11. Los Boricuas (WWE)

Wrestling Obscurity: Mexicools

Mexicools...now there was a stable, which quickly became a tag team because 1 of the members was released from WWE. The premise was 3 well known wrestlers; Juventud, Super Crazy, and Psicosis were a band of latin wrestlers that were tired of the sterotypes surrounding Latin Americans/Luchadors. And of course they would come down to the ring driving riding lawnmowers and wear matching overalls....wow. Anyway moving on. Juventud was released by WWE 6 months after the trio had formed, making the remaining 2 wrestlers a tag team. Unfortunately they didn't win a tag title, but as a trio, they did have some feuds with Paul London, Brian Kendrick, FBI and a few others. As individuals, the three wrestlers have had some great matches in Mexico and USA, but like the Un-Americans. The Mexicools failed to make an impact and have faded into obscurity.

Top 8 wrestling finishers

I've taken a look at the best finishers from ROH, WWE, and TNA. And I've seen a few from New Japan and AAA. Some are really cool, and I'm sure very dangerous, but which ones are the best? Which moves look like they could put an opponent down for a 3 count? It's hard to make a list of just 8 finishers that fit that description. It would be easier to make a top 20...but that's not as much fun. To make it easier on myself, I'll make some rules for this list. Once again no submission finishers, sorry. No tag team finishers, sorry, no finishers involving a foreign object, and no top rope finishers.

NTWA: Christian Cage vs Rhino 8 mile street fight

Bound for Glory has had some pretty great matches and this is one of the them. BFG 2006 Cage vs. Rhino, 8 mile street fight. Now this was a pretty good feud between these two. "Former" best friends who now can't stand each other. Basic storyline in pro wrestling. And if I remember correctly this was the last match that these two had in TNA....of course I could be wrong. But if it was, it was a great way to end the feud.

NTWA: Rhino piledrives jeff hardy

Bound for Glory was a couple of days ago and I was thinking what awesome matches have there been on the BFG PPV. Well I searched and it didn't take long for me to find it. Monster's Ball. There was an awesome match. If you like hardcore matches that is. The finish was insane. I mean who would want to be piledriven from the second rope? Nobody, but that's what happened to Jeff Hardy.

TNA Bound for Glory review

Well another BFG has come and gone. How was it? I thought it was pretty good. Alot of titles changed hands. Which is what I want in a PPV, for the most part. The big surprise. Devon is the leader of Aces and Eights. I'll admit it, I didn't see that coming. But I did say that Bully wasn't the leader. So I was right. LOL

Best Match: 3 way tag team match
Worst Match: Al Snow vs. Joey Ryan
PPV overall: B

TNA Bound For Glory Predictions

Is it that time of year again? Looks like BFG is upon us once again. How does the card look? (Looking over card).  Not too bad. I'm looking forward to the 3way tag team match. What else? (Looks at card) Al Snow in the ring...again? Hmmm. Well, we'll see what happens. Let's get to the predictions.

First, I don't think that Bully is the leader of Aces and Eights. Why? Too obvious. I'm going to give TNA a little more credit than that. Have they earned it....? No, but I think/hope they have learned from their mistakes. Who is the leader of Aces and Eights? I don't know. It would be nice if it were Anderson or C. Daniels. I hope it's no one stupid.

Al Snow vs. Joey Ryan.
As a member of the 87% I'm pretty sure this one will go to Ryan.

Samoa Joe vs. Magnus
I'll go with Samoa Joe to retain his title

Tara vs Tessmacher
A title should change hands tonight. This should be one of them. So I'll take Tara FTW

RVD vs Zema Ion
I really want RVD to win, then maybe they(TNA) will do more with the X-division, but I think Zema Ion will retain...sigh

Styles/Angle vs. Daniels/Kazarian vs. Hernandez/Chavo
This is a hard one to call...I actually want Hernandez/Chavo to win....hmmmm. Hell, why not? Hernandez/Chavo FTW

Storm vs. Roode Street fight
This should be one of the best matches of the night. I say that because last time Storm faced a former tag partner in a street fight. It was one of the best matches of the year...in my opinion. Who's going to win? It had better be Storm, damn it LOL

Bully/Sting vs. Aces and Eights
The leader should be revealed...should, but like I said it won't be Bully...I hope, but that aside Aces and Eights will win.

Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Ares
Another hard one to call, I feel that Ares hasn't been champion long enough. However the title should change hands, if this is TNA's biggest PPV of the year. I'll pick Ares FTW.

Wrestling Obscurity: The Un-Americans

I'm pretty good at remembering things about wrestling. Wrestlers, storylines, gimmicks, etc. But this entry and the last entry, have me scratching my head. Because I don't remember this group at all. I know the individuals. Christian, Lance Storm, Test, and William Regal. But them as a stable? I can't remember at all. But as the name of the group suggests they were Anti-Amercians. Which helps when you have 3 Canadians, and 1 Brit in your stable. The year was 2002 when the Un-Americans were around. Which sounds a little dangerous to have an Anti American stable around less than year after 9/11. But WWE did it anyway and surprisingly enough Lance and Christian were tag champs. They had a feud with Golddust and Booker T, and had a championship match at SummerSlam 2002.  The group also attempted to burn the American flag, on more than 1 occasion...Did I mention that this took place less than a year after 9/11? Not long after SummerSlam, the group disbanded after lossing the tag team titles. The individuals of this group, have defintely made an impact in wrestling, but as a stable? The Un-Americans didn't leave much of an impact and have faded into obscurity.

NTWA:AJ Styles vs Jerry Lynn vs Low Ki Triangle Ladder Match

It's hard to believe that this match took place 10 years ago. This is when TNA or NWATNA was in it's infancy. Back then the X-division regined supreme. Now? Not so much, but back then it had great matches and this is 1 of them. If you haven't seen this match you really should. It maybe the greatest ladder match in TNA's history. I never saw a 3 way ladder match before this one. I always thought that was a good idea but I didn't think that someone would actually do it. But NWA-TNA did and they did it in an awesome way.

Wrestling Obscurity: Rodney Mack

Rodney Mack....who the hell is Rodney Mack? I can't say I remember him at all. I was reading his wiki page and nothing was rining a bell. No pun intended. I had to do a little more research on youtube, to see if anything jarred my memory....and nothing. Apparently he was managed by Teddy Long, he was part of Thuggin and Buggin Enterprise, and Mack competed in a series of challenges called "white boy challenges." This is were Rodney would take on any white boy and beat him in 5 min or less. When did this occur? According to wikipedia it was 2003. I'm at a lost for words. Please tell me there is more, because this doesn't look good at all. I mean, he didn't win any titles. He didn't have any real feuds.  It seems like he was just in WWE for 2 years and then just faded into obscurity.

Top 9 off the top rope finishers

Looks like I've been in a listing mood lately. I guess I'm having fun figuring out which moves are cool and exciting to watch. Obviously everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, and I'm sure some disagree with my previous lists and will probably disagree with this one too. But nevertheless, here is my top 9 off the top rope finishers.

NTWA: Jerry Lynn vs. Amazing Red

I don't know how it happened, but I haven't talked about Amazing Red yet. How'd that happen? Obviously if you've seen Red in action, you know that he deserves to be mentioned on NTWA. If you haven't seen Red and like high flying style of wrestling. Then you have got to look him up.
There are many matches to choose from but I think I'll go with the first match I saw with Red. I didn't start watching TNA until 2004. So I had some catching up to do via DVD. On that DVD, was a Jerry Lynn vs. Amazing Red. I didn't know what to expect, but the match is simply awesome.

Why I like John Cena

I don't think I'll get any hate comments for liking John Cena, but it could happen.  There are a couple of reasons why I like Cena. 1# John Cena is not a bad wrestler. I don't understand why people think he can't wrestle. Cause he does the same moves..? So does Randy Orton, Christian, AJ Styles etc. He has changed his game over the years and can get creative at times ie leg drop from top rope. 2# He has good mic skills, that's been clear from nearly day one and as a result he's entertaining to listen to. 3# He does make-a-wish requests all the time. Anyone who is willing to help children, especially sick children. Has my respect.

The era of the big man in WWE

I've been wanting to write about this for a while now. It's just an observation, not necessarly true. Is it me or does there seem to be less big men in WWE? Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty of big guys from Ryback to Kane, but as far as who gets more TV time. It seems that the "average" to smaller guys get more mic/tv time. The Miz has his own talk show, Dolph is always on TV, CM Punk is the champion and  Daniel Bryan is...in a horrible stroyline, but he's still on TV.
It seems more big guys aren't performing as well or aren't getting the fans excited enough as the "smaller" guys. Examples would be Mason Ryan, Ezekiel Jackson, Tenzai, Jack Swagger and maybe Brotus Clay. Which is definetly a change in WWE, cause it used to be the smaller guys hardly got anytime or were the lower card, or dark match. Which I'm sure still happens, heck look at Yoshi Tatsu, Tyson Kidd, and Justin Gabriel, but as far as main event or mid card. It looks like the "smaller" guys have taken those spots.
