Wrestling Obscurity: Jimmy Yang Wang

Just for the record, I really like Jimmy Yang. He is/was a very good wrestler and was fun to watch.
He has had worked with WWE under different ring names, but one that stands out to me. Is Jimmy Yang Wang. He was an Japanese cowboy. That's pretty much it. He would line dance, speak "southern" and sing country music. Sounds a little stupid, but it was kind of entertaining and Jimmy made it work. Plus like I said he was/is a good wrestler. So the gimmick didn't really matter when the bell rung. But like alot of other gimmicks it gets old after awhile and being a cruiserweight in WWE meant you were not going to be around for very long.

Wrestling Obscurity: Bobby Lashely

I may be cheating a little bit with this one, but I feel that mister Bobby Lashely is slowly fadding in to obscurity.  I know he has tried to compete in MMA, but I'm not sure how well that has worked out for him.
For those who don't know Bobby Lashely was a big and powerful guy. Think Brock Lesnar, but darker.
He had a good run in WWE, he was ECW(WWECW) champion and US champion and....ummm. Ok he was never World Champion or WWE Champion. I'm not sure why.
He did spend time in TNA, but I think that was a stepping stone to get him into MMA.  The only big feud that I can think of is the one with him and Scott Steiner.
According to the internet, Bobby is with IGF promotion, so we'll see if he can leave his mark on the wrestling world, or fade into obscurity.

The right time to unify titles?

I'm not really sure why WWE decided to unify their two titles last night. And the timing is very odd. I know we are near the end of the year, and I think they wanted to start off 2014 with 1 champion. But did it have to be on a PPV like TLC? Why not the Rumble? That's one of the big 4 PPV. TLC is just a gimmick PPV and one that is hit or miss. And you could have more time to build up tension and rivalry and tell a good story. It seemed like an on the spot decisions that didn't require a lot of thought or too much planning.
Think about this for a sec. WWE set up a match 1 year in advance at WM. The Cena vs. Rock match. And that wasn't for the title, well the first match wasn't. They will do that, but they won't dedicate more than 2 months to a unification match? Seems like poor execution to me.
