TNA Fan interaction and Lockdown 2011

Over the weekend I had a chance to attend the TNA fan interaction and Lockdown PPV (3rd row). My girlfriend and I will be posting vids and pics from the events. Overall it was a great experience. We were able to meet/see a lot of wrestlers, knockouts, commentators and referees. The talent was very nice and easy to talk, at least the people that I got a chance to meet. With that said, Pope and Eric Young both are eccentric and way over the top. Both of them were having fun, possibly too much fun.

Now on to the PPV. I'll present my cons, pros and my overall thoughts about the PPV.
Cons:
1. Eric Bischoff. My God...why did he come out? To kill time? Yes that's the answer at least I think so. He wasted time. Time that could have been put into matches. The TNA title and the Knockout title match could have been given 5 more min, if Eric didn't come out and talk. As soon as he was done. I had a feeling that 1 of the matches would be short. Which brings me to #2

2. TNA Knockout title match was too short. It took Madison Rayne more time to get down to the ring, take her gloves, belt, and tiara off. Than it took Mickey to beat her. Which made no sense. Madison has had the belt since October!! She has beaten Micky more than once and has beaten other knockouts. And is defeated in less than 2 minutes?!? Bullshit I say, bullshit.

3. Rosita and Serena on the mic. Again another segment that was just to kill time. It served no real purpose and probably won't amount to anything. Moving on.

4. No pyro. Not really a big deal, I'm just nit-picking now :-P

Pros:
1. Good matches. All the matches were good matches, fast paced, good timing, and spots, with very few botches. It actually felt like TNA meant Total Non-stop Action (imagine that).

Conclusion:
I know that I have more cons than pros, but I really enjoyed the show, it felt like a good solid PPV. It had a good quality of matches and wrestling. I spent money and drove 3 hours to see a wrestling show. I'll say that again, A WRESTLING SHOW. And that is exactly what I got. Sure some things were bad or stupid, but that's wrestling for ya. That comes with the package. Overall very good, and if TNA can produce this kind of product on a regular basis then they're heading in the right direction

ROH on HDNET

Unfortunately tonight is the final show of ROH on HDNET. Hopefully ROH will find a new home on TV somewhere, but there is always the internet.
I'd like to say that they had a lot, but they didn't. They only had highlights of matches on HDNET, the ROH wrestlers and they had 1 match. A 6man tag; Briscoe Brothers and Davey Richards vs. Kings of Wrestling and Rodrick Stong.
I wish they would've had 2 matches at least, but they opted for 1 and it was great. The best match I have seen all week. Now keep in mind I haven't seen ROH iPPV they had over the weekend yet.

Wresltemania 27

I normally do a run down of PPV, but I'm not going to do that this time. I'm just going to give you my overall thoughts and complaints about the PPV.
First off; the order of the matches.
The World Heavyweight Championship match was first on the card??!?! I'm still in shock over that. And the "Snooki" match was second to last of the card. Again I'm in shock and awe. Shouldn't those 2 matches have been switched around??
2. No US title match!?!?.
Daniel Bryan is arguably the best wrestler in the company and his match was scrapped? Why? For a battle royal dark match? Does this makes sense to anyone else? Not to mention the title changed hands. Yea. Ladies and Gentlemen your new U.S. Champion The Great Khali...OMG
3. No real effort;
What I mean by this is that most of the matches didn't feel like WM quality and the wrestling seemed for lack of a better word lazy, not much high flying, no innovation or creativity. No real effort was put in except for a few matches which is coming up next.
4. Best matches of the night
CM punk vs. Randy Orton and The Corre vs. Santino, Kane, Big Show, Kofi and HHH vs. Undertaker.
Some will disagree with me I'm sure, but to me these were the best because it felt like these guys were trying to put on a show and give the people what they wanted. Granted the 8man tag lasted 2 minutes, but it was fast paced and had some high flying which I'm biased toward and I think that if they did it right and were given enough time that match COULD HAVE stolen the show.

Overall WM 27 was just alight....but it shouldn't be alright. It should be memorable. In 5 years we should look back and think it was great, but I don't think that is going to happen. Besides Snooki (ugh), the streak and...the host(maybe) what will you remember in 5 years? Not much.
