How Much is Too Much?

I love WWE just as much as the next fan, heck probably more but 14 pay per views a year is just too much. I can even deal with 12 so that you have one a month. From Night of Champions to Hell in a Cell is only 2 weeks. That is not enough time to build up a good story line or to add to a current storyline in a way that it will be good. Wrestling can be expensive........I guess I'll stick to my 4 a year. TLR

Night of Champions Predictions

I hadn't thought much about the outcome of this PPV until my friend texted me.
So let's see, I'll start with the Divas.

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix: I really don't see KK pulling off another upset victory...she did that at SummerSlam. So I'll go with Beth Phoniex for the win and as the new champ

WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne vs. The Miz & R-Truth. Miz and Truth what an odd pairing. Well they just started as a tag team, then again so did Air Boom (LOL). Hmmm...it's a toss up, I'll go with Air Boom just because it'll get give Truth and Miz more to whine about.

Fatal 4-Way U.S. Championship Match:
This is a tough one...I know I want A-Ry or Morrison to win, but if they are going to keep the story line going with Vicky, Dolph, and Swagger. Then Dolph or Swagger would have to win. I'll go with Swagger to win. That would give Vicky an excuse to start managing him officially and possibly dump Dolph.

Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase:
The feud hasn't gone on long enough for the title to change hands...at least I don't think. So I'll go for Cody Rhodes to retain.

WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena:
I think John Cena will win via DQ. I'm thinking Del Rio's lacky ie personal announcer, will get involved.

CM Punk vs. Triple H (No Disqualification Match)
I am 98% sure that Kevin Nash will make an appearance. Now who will he attack...idk. CM Punk has nothing to lose here, but Triple H could lose his job as COO. So it makes sense that Nash would attack Punk and Triple H could keep his job. Are Nash and Triple H working together? I think so.

World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry
Randy just won the title at SS. Not likely he would drop the belt so soon and to Mark Henery. I know Mark is on a hot streak right now, and he is favored to win, but I don't know. I want Orton to win, but I think I'll go with Mark Henry....Mark Henry as champion? God help us all.

Death Before Dishonor IX iPPV

A quick listing of the matches
1.The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Future Shock (Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. The Bravados (Lancelot & Harlem) Three-way tag elimination match
2.ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal & Homicide vs. Tommaso Ciampa & Rhino with The Embassy
3.El Generico vs. Jimmy Jacobs
4.ROH World Tag Champion Charlie Haas vs. Michael Elgin with Truth Martini
5.ROH World Tag Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett w/ Brutal Bob
6.“Die Hard” Eddie Edwards vs. “The World’s Greatest Athlete” Roderick Strong
***2/3 Falls (1st Fall – Pin Only, 2nd – Fall Submission Only, 3rd Fall – 15 Minute Iron Man) ***
7.Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King)
***winner to receive a Tag Title match at “Glory by Honor X” on 11/19***

That looks like a solid card, don't ya think? Well it didn't disappoint. I'll touch on, what I felt the highlights were. ***SPOILER ALERT***

I'll start with the three-way elimination tag match. Great match, very high paced and fast action. Not a lot of wasted time, which I liked. I also like moves that I've never seen before, which there were a couple of those in this match. Example, A tag team tombstone pile driver/regular pile driver performed by the Young Bucks. Awesome move and awesome match

Next; Kevin Steen interrupts the El Generico and Jimmy Jacobs match. Oddly enough Kevin didn't attack either wrestler, instead they tried to attack him. But becuase of security they didn't lay a hand on him. Even Jim Cornett tried to get a shot in on Steen, which was funny to me.

Third on the list, Eddie Edwards vs. Rodrick Strong. What can I say. They gave it their all and then some. I don't know how long the match went on, but it had to be at least 35 minutes. It did start off a little slow for me, but that only lasted for 5 minutes or so. Great match.

Last but not least; Ladder War III ANX vs. the Briscoes. The crowd was blood thirsty. How do I know this? Because they were chanting "we want blood" in the first 2 MINUTES!!!! The wrestlers didn't even get a chance to get a ladder in the ring before the chant!! Also Ive never seen a ladder match, were no one goes for the object(contract) above the ring until the last couple of minutes of the match. What did they do before then? They beat the hell out of each other. Tables, ladders, chairs(insert Mick Foley joke here) and of course blood, lots and lots of blood. This match was fast paced, so much so that the camera had a hard time keeping up with the action(at times) and great spots. Example Jay Briscoe(I think) diving off a 20 foot ladder onto Rett Titus who was lying on a table.

Impact Wrestling Main Event 9/15/11

Impact ended about 90 min ago and someone in his or her infinite wisdom decided to make the main event Ric Flair vs. Sting. That's right; Ric Flair vs. Sting....where do I begin? The stipulation first. If Sting wins he gets a match with Hulk Hogan. Joy. If Ric wins, Sting has to retire for good. Joy times 2. I couldn't believe it but I was rooting for Ric on this one. Cause who wants to see Sting vs. Hogan...in 2011!?!?
The match itself...What could you expect from these 2. Ric Flair is 62 and Sting is 52 (wow, really?) So both members of the main event are card carrying members of AARP...fantastic. I'll give them credit, they did try to put on a good match and had "ok" timing but the pace was just too slow to really get into the match. And the ending? Ugh. Spoiler Alert!!!! Sting won the match via Scorpion Deathlock. So guest what that means? You guessed it, at some point down the line Sting will go toe-to-toe with Hulk Hogan..in 2011!!!!! I would pray to wrestling god that that match won't take place. But it's because of the wrestling god (Ric Flair) that this match will/might take place. Thanks Ric, thanks alot. BTW Hulk Hogan just turned 58.

So now we are going to play a game. I'm going to tell you when these wrestlers debuted. And then you're going to say where you were the day he debuted. Are you ready? (Insert DX joke here).
Sting's debut November 28, 1985
Hulk Hogan's debut August 10, 1977
Ric Flair's debut December 10, 1972
Thanks for playing

Review and Results of TNA No Surrender PPV

Overall I felt the PPV was dull. It had some good moments, but not too many. The matches, for the most part were not PPV quality. I wanted to see it cause I wanted to see how the BFG series would end. I was surprised and in a good way, cause who wants to see Bully Ray in the main event at BFG? No one. Match of the night had to go to the X-division title match between A double;Austin Aries and Brian Kendrich. I'm not surprised that they spent time honoring the memory of 9/11. They also gave Rosita time to talk about her father, who she lost in the 9/11 attacks in NYC. Both of which were very good things for TNA to do.

Quick Results from the Pay-Per-View:

-#1 X Div. Contender's Match: Jesse Sorensen def. Kid Kash

-BFG Series: Bully Ray (52 pts) Def. James Storm of Beer Money (30 pts) via DQ

-Knockouts Title: Winter def. Mickie James

-Tag Team Title: Mexican America def. "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero & Devon

-"The Blueprint" Matt Morgan def. Samoa Joe

-BFG Series: Bobby Roode (52) def. Gunner (42) via Submission

-X Title: Austin Aries def. Brian Kendrick

-BFG Series: Bobby Roode def. Bully Ray to become the #1 Contender

-World Heavyweight Title: Kurt Angle def. Sting and Mr. Anderson

Bound For Glory Series
The contender with the most points in the series at the end of the night gets a World Heavyweight Title shot at Bound for Glory. Going into the night the Leaders were as follows: Bully Ray (49), Bobby Roode (42), Gunner (42), and James Storm (40). Bully Ray simply needed to win the match via pinfall or submission in order to continue in the series uncontested. The other three in the series would require a submission victory to pass Bully Ray if he lost. Bully Ray won by Disqualification and brought him to 52 pts. requiring the winner of the other BFG Series match to win by submission in order to tie with Bully Ray and stay alive in the series. The battle between Bobby Roode and Gunner resulted in Roode getting the submission victory and bringing him to 52 pts tying with Bully Ray. After Roode’s win Bischoff dictated there will be a winner in the BFG Series tonight and created a match between Roode and Ray. In the newly added match, Bobby Roode defeated Bully Ray making him the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title at Bound for Glory in Philadelphia.
Results from the No Surrender Pay-Per-View

-#1 Contender's Match: In a very exciting and fast paced match Jesse Sorensen defeated Kid Kash to obtain the #1 contendership for the X-Division Title.

-Bound for Glory Series: Ray did everything he could prevent the match from beginning. Storm continuously tried to gain the submission victory throughout and at one point Ray spit beer into the eyes of storm to temporarily blind him. After an intense match, Storm attempted to spit beer in his Ray’s face but instead spit in the referee’s face, which resulted in a disqualification win for Bully Ray (3 pts) putting him in First Place at 52 points and completely eliminating James Storm.

- Knockouts Championship: Winter defeated Mickie James to become the new Knockouts Champion! Angelina Love distracted Mickie James throughout the match, which also distracted the referee and allowed Winter to spit a mysterious red liquid in the face of Mickie James and helped Winter to get the pin and become the new Knockouts Champion.

- World Tag Team Championship: Anarquia and Hernandez retained the Tag Team Titles by defeating “The Pope” and Devon. Anarquia and Hernandez were joined by Rosita and Sarita at ringside. Both Rosita and Sarita attempted to distract throughout the hard fought match. Because of assistance from Sarita holding down Pope, Mexican America was able to get the pinfall and retain the Tag Titles.

-Matt Morgan defeated Samoa Joe. A heated match that involved absolutely brutal blows from both wrestlers. After taking Joe out with the Carbon Footprint Morgan got the pin fall victory.

-Bound for Glory Series: At the start, either contender needed a submission victory in order to stay alive in the BFG Series. After an epic battle that went back and forth, Roode was able to submit Gunner to get the submission win and gain 10 points to tie with Bully Ray at 52 points. Bischoff entered at the end of the match and created a new match between Bully Ray and Bobby Roode to settle the series to happen tonight.

-X Division Championship: Austin Aries dominated at the start of the match but Brian Kendrick would not back down and caused Aries to dive face first from the ring into the guardrail. After a very physical match Aries took out Kendrick with a brain buster that allowed for him to get the pin and become the new X Division Champion.

-Bound For Glory Series: (Newly added Match) Bully Ray used the same tactics he utilized early in the night with controlling the pace at the start of the match by going in and out of the ring. Roode seemed to be unaffected by Bully Ray’s chops and made his distaste for Bully Ray known which mentally got to Ray. Mind games continued between the two throughout the match. After Roode dropped a massive Spinebuster on Ray, Roode got the pin to become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title.

-World Heavyweight Championship: At the beginning of the match Anderson and Sting worked together to take apart Angle. With Angle out of the ring Sting and Anderson faced off. Angle came to and took out Anderson outside of the ring and went to face off with Sting until Anderson returned and it became every man for himself. After Hogan interferes and sprays Sting’s eyes with something, Angle is able to take out a disoriented Sting with and Angle Slam and get the pin to retain the World Title.

Wrestling Obscurity: WTF Randy Orton

Mr. Orton is not obscure, hell he's the champion, but earlier this year he did something that will surely be forgotten in the next year, maybe. I guess I'm kinda cheating on this, but like I said when I started this "card is subject to change."
Checkout Randy's obscure moment
