Impact ended about 90 min ago and someone in his or her infinite wisdom decided to make the main event Ric Flair vs. Sting. That's right; Ric Flair vs. Sting....where do I begin? The stipulation first. If Sting wins he gets a match with Hulk Hogan. Joy. If Ric wins, Sting has to retire for good. Joy times 2. I couldn't believe it but I was rooting for Ric on this one. Cause who wants to see Sting vs. Hogan...in 2011!?!?
The match itself...What could you expect from these 2. Ric Flair is 62 and Sting is 52 (wow, really?) So both members of the main event are card carrying members of AARP...fantastic. I'll give them credit, they did try to put on a good match and had "ok" timing but the pace was just too slow to really get into the match. And the ending? Ugh. Spoiler Alert!!!! Sting won the match via Scorpion Deathlock. So guest what that means? You guessed it, at some point down the line Sting will go toe-to-toe with Hulk Hogan..in 2011!!!!! I would pray to wrestling god that that match won't take place. But it's because of the wrestling god (Ric Flair) that this match will/might take place. Thanks Ric, thanks alot. BTW Hulk Hogan just turned 58.
